In six engaging sessions, you’ll gain the tools you need to have a joyful, healthy pregnancy, labor and birth, however it unfolds.

Birth Asheville Natural Childbirth Classes - Georgette Blackford,  I offer a 10 week series with classes that are 2 1/2 hours in length.  I’m here to tell you that pregnancy and birth CAN be a beautiful, life changing event without drugs, without fear, and even for some, without pain.  With a healthy pregnancy, good support, and proper education, anything is possible, including a peaceful, intervention free birth experience.

Buncombe County Health Department Childbirth Classes - 828.674.8477 or 828.250.5040. The Buncombe County Department of Health works with community partners to assure that childbirth classes are available in English and Spanish, especially for women who have Medicaid. Medicaid pays for classes. Women without Medicaid can also sign up for classes and are responsible for paying for classes by check, cash or private insurance. Communitas Doula Holistic Childbirth Classes - 828.242.6594. Asheville. Mayari Waymouth, CD(DONA). This is a five-part series of classes that cover a range of topics important to pregnancy, labor and birth, and newborn care.  The classes are intended for parents who are interested in exploring natural birth through a variety of media, from birth art to discussions about physiology and labor to videos of beautiful natural births.

Peaceful Beginning Peaceful Birth Forums - 640 Merrimon Ave, Spa Materna, Asheville 28804. 828.258.3327. All pregnant couples are welcome and we invite doulas, nurses, family members & other maternal care professionals to attend and share in the discussion. The forums are “birth circle” style, focusing on normal birth and breastfeeding.

Women’s Wellness and Education Center Empowered Birthing Childbirth Classes - 4 Arlington St, Asheville 28801. 828.333.0598. These fun, informative and hands-on classes were developed and are taught by Trish Beckman, nurse midwife. This 6 hour class session is  focused on the natural process of birth. Trish believes that if couples can learn how the baby works with the pelvis and how the hormones support the process they can learn to work with all the natural tools available to support and promote normal birth.
